    Question:

Paul, I have and still do own all the brands you mention. I use and love most of them. When I do large mural work…I use my Paasche Mil and VL..then I use my Paasche VSR 90 and a couple of Sparmax .3mm gravity feeds for details. The reason why is they do the job very well and if they get damaged on site they are easy and inexpensive to repair. When I do illustration and fine art paintings…I use my AB turbo’s, EFBE’s and my VSR 90…I used to use Iwata also, but I found the quality of the EFPE was better. I still have a T&C mdl A I bought in 1972 that I still use from time to time. The badger 150 is a good brush. All our 175’s fell apart (used to have 12 of them at one time….none lasted over 3 years)…never again. Jw Baker swears by Olympos…I had one and they are great brushes also. Ken – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – I appreciate the info.  I’ve been thinking about getting an EFBE, but I hadn’t spoken to anyone who had used one.  As you can imagine, western Texas doesn’t have a lot of stores that carry foreign airbrush mfrs. Come to think of it, they don’t carry anything but Badger and Paasche, but never at the same store… Paul Hey Paul, Hansa aero-pro went under about a year or so ago… EFBE is a "Hand made" German airbrush…I own two (0.15mm and a 0.3mm) and their quality is second to none. I have a friend who swears by SATA airbrushes and he would have to be one of the best custom painters in Australia (of course he’s older than dirt too…LOL). SATA is sold by PPG paints here. Ken Does anyone have any experience with products made by Efbe, Hansa,  Harder Steenbeck and any that I might be missing?  How well are they made, how  do they perform in relation to Iwata, Badger, Thayer & Chandler.  Any help  or advice would be appreciated. Paul

I’ve got two T&C Model "A"s and love them.  I’ve used a friend’s VSR 90 and liked it OK.  I’ve used Badger 150’s and 100s for years and still like those brushes, but all of my large scale work has been with Iwatas.  I may have to check into the EFBE if it shows up Iwata for quality.  I’m also lusting after one of the high end Harder and Steenbecks.  Any idea how these compare to Holbein? Paul, I own a Harder & Steenbeck Evolution and I know several people who own one or more too. Everyone I spoke to about this airbrush is very enthausiastic about it. It’s going to be hard to get it here in the US though. I don’t think they have a US rep. yet. Just my $0.02… Ed
