Hi, Gary. Yup- he turned many people off with his stupid header. If he wants to make a living at it, he’s gonna have to wash out his potty mouth! I thought his stuff was just ok- looked like typical college paintslinging to me; I was really turned off by the Japanese cartoon element and the half-ass rendition of the very famous Gable butt- butt he probably doesn’t even know who Betty Grable was, or why the image was so famous to start with. if he’s gonna cop somebody’s image, he’d better grab stuff that hasn’t been done to death, or do a total blowaway job of it. Hi, Outlaw… I’ve been at it about as long as you, and I agree with your assesment of the work, but be kind… I was once young and full of myself, too. It takes a healty ego to make your living as an artist, doesn’t it? Once he gets set in the traces, he’ll find the pulling takes a little more than just self-promotion and big canvases to make a living at it. Stanger

Yeah… actually i couldn’t see why the work was even promoted here.airbrush?? what airbrush. it’s sad but many of us have had our feelings tampled but we must accept honest criticism, learn from it and proceed to improve our …er…product.i hope he does.as well crude bravado like that gets you nowhere especially when there is a means to check out the claim. Oh…Outlaw I went to your site and i like what you’re doing with the shaped art and i felt a pang of jealousy.i’m a couple thousand miles northeast of you out on the Canadian prairie with bitter winters and short summers. ; )

Outlaw/Stanger, I think his/her stuff ain’t all that bad. I would have liked it a lot better if it was advertised as an art site rather than a "Shit Hot!" art site!!! Confidence is good but sheesh! Okay – yeah I was young & stupid once….but when you finally grow up – some of us learn to control that "smart assness"! While we (my wife & I) aren’t the best in the world, I’d say we do all right! Well, you got the shit part right…..I’ve been in the graphic arts business for over 32 yrs…I have grandchildren that could do better…. Outlaw
